Damian Lillard Says Trail Blazers 'Still Capable' After Pelicans Sweep

Adam WellsApr 21, 2018

Damian Lillard has confidence in the Portland Trail Blazers' talent after they were swept out of the playoffs by the New Orleans Pelicans

Addressing the media following Saturday's 131-123 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, Lillard noted the Blazers are "still capable" of winning big in the postseason:

Lillard noted Portland wasn't playing its best basketball coming into the playoffs, losing seven of its final 12 games in the regular season after a 13-game winning streak.

Despite being the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference, the Trail Blazers lost all four playoff games against the Pelicans. They allowed at least 111 points in each of the last three games of the series to fall in the first round for the ninth time in their last 11 trips to the postseason.
