Charles Oakley: We Haven't Seen Anyone Like Joel Embiid Since Wilt Chamberlain

Former NBA power forward Charles Oakley compared the skill set of Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid to Basketball Hall of Famer Wilt Chamberlain.

Oakley praised the Sixers' rising star in a Friday post on Twitter:

Embiid returned from a fractured orbital bone to tally 23 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three blocks in Philly's 128-108 victory over the Miami Heat on Thursday night. The victory gave the 76ers a 2-1 lead in the teams' first-round playoff series.

The 24-year-old Cameroon native earned his first All-Star Game selection during the regular season. He finished the campaign ranked 20th in the NBA in Player Efficiency Rating, per ESPN.com.

Although the third overall pick in the 2014 draft has showcased high-end talent over the past two years after injuries derailed his first few seasons, he's got a long way to go to match Chamberlain's resume. The Philadelphia native was a 13-time All-Star, four-time NBA MVP and a two-time NBA champion.
