Manchester City Transfer News: Riyad Mahrez Interest Amid Latest Rumours
Manchester City are reportedly considering returning for Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez in the summer after having a £60 million bid for the winger rejected in January.
According to John Cross in the Mirror, despite having pursued the Algeria international unsuccessfully in the most recent transfer window, the Sky Blues still see him as a candidate to provide cover and competition for Raheem Sterling and Leroy Sane.
Mahrez went so far as to hand in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move to the Etihad Stadium, per Simon Stone of BBC Sport.

However, per Jamie Jackson and Stuart James in the Guardian, City ended their pursuit when they were quoted £95 million for the player by the Foxes.
The Premier League champions valued Mahrez at £60 million back in January, and they are likely hopeful Leicester will be receptive to such an offer come the end of the 2017-18 campaign.
It is not out of the question, not least as Mahrez has long seemed to be agitating for a move away from the King Power Stadium:
Clubs often charge a premium in January because there is so little time to find a replacement.
Meanwhile, Mahrez will only have two years left on his contract come the summer, and given he is clearly eager to move, it could be Leicester's last opportunity to get a big fee for him.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a largely excellent 2017-18 campaign. However, he has not been quite the player who netted 17 goals and provided 11 assists to inspire the Foxes to Premier League glory in 2015-16.
But with a return of 10 goals and eight assists this term, he has been much improved on a difficult 2016-17 campaign.
