Dan Snyder Trolls Redskins Fan with Signed Photo After Kirk Cousins Letter

Adam WellsApr 19, 2018

Redskins owner Dan Snyder has entirely too much time on his hands.

In response to one Washington Redskins fan's pain over losing quarterback Kirk Cousins, Snyder sent him a signed photograph in the mail.

Per Scott Allen of the Washington PostMatt Fraedrich sent Snyder an email in December imploring the Redskins owner to re-sign Cousins:

“Please be very deliberate about the decisions that are made behind closed doors. Please be shrewd and brilliant. Please do everything in your power to lay the groundwork for a Redskins dynasty that will bring joy to the fans and the city for years to come. In my opinion, the first step to achieving that dream is this: Please give Kirk Cousins a long-term deal that makes him happy to be Redskin, even if that means making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. Thank you.”

Five months later, FedEx dropped off a package at Fraedrich's house that included the picture of Snyder in a suit with "HTTR!" written across the top.

Meanwhile, Cousins is preparing to take over as the Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback after agreeing to a three-year deal with the team in March.

Washington isn't completely starting over, as it acquired Alex Smith in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs to replace Cousins for the 2018 season.
