Several athletes—including Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant, Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt and tennis star Roger Federer—were named to Time's 2018 list of the world's 100 most influential people Thursday.

Time tweeted the following magazine cover featuring Federer:

In addition to Durant, Watt and Federer, snowboarder Chloe Kim, figure skater Adam Rippon and cricketer Virat Kohli were part of the list.

Listed under the "titans" category, Federer's Time entry was written by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

At 36 years of age, Federer has experienced a career renaissance. The 20-time Grand Slam singles champion won the Australian Open and Wimbledon last year, and he already has another Aussie Open title to his credit in 2018.

While Gates made mention of his on-court success, he primarily focused on Federer's philanthropy.

Apple executive Eddy Cue wrote the entry for Durant, and he mentioned KD committing $10 million to the College Track program in an effort to provide children with higher education.

Last season, Durant won the first NBA championship of his career after joining the Warriors, and he was named the NBA Finals MVP.

Watt was categorized as a "leader" on Time's list following his contributions during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.

While Watt was limited to just five games last season due to injury, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner wrote that the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year helped raise more than $37 million for hurricane recovery.
