James Comey: 'I Admire LeBron James. I Used to Talk About Him All over the FBI'
April 17, 2018
Former FBI Director James Comey has made a number of recent headlines as he discussed his upcoming book A Higher Loyalty and his time working with President Donald Trump before he was fired, but sports fans will take note of his opinion of Cleveland Cavaliers superstar LeBron James.
"I admire LeBron James," Comey said while appearing on Good Morning America, via TMZ Sports. "I used to talk about him all over the FBI."
TMZ noted Comey specifically pointed to James' push to improve himself during the offseason and used to tell his staff at the FBI that "we have to find parts of our game to make better" just like the four-time MVP does.
In a revelation that likely won't sit well with Michael Jordan supporters, Comey also said he thinks James is the best basketball player alive.
Comey's admiration for James is notable from a political perspective as well considering the Cavaliers leader has been openly critical of Trump. It was Trump who fired Comey, and the president even tweeted, "It was my great honor to fire James Comey!"
