Tennessee Volunteers Vs. Alabama Crimson Tide Betting Picks Preview

The Alabama Crimson Tide are rolling after recently jumping the Florida Gators in the latest AP Top 25 poll. While many feel this is justified, the BCS computer hasn’t been convinced yet as they put Florida in the top spot. Regardless of who is the best between these two teams, the Crimson Tide are a very good college football team.

As far as free college football picks go the Crimson Tide are yet to be challenged and they bring a stable of NFL-caliber talent to the table. They are 7-0 after beating South Carolina last weekend and look to continue their run to the title against Tennessee this weekend.

The Tennessee Volunteers resume is slightly more underwhelming. They come into the game at 3-3 and many fans are beginning to have doubts. While they have talent, Lane Kiffin’s brash statements have rarely been backed up at this point in the season.

Defensive coordinator Monty Kiffin did develop a nice defensive game plan against the Florida Gators, but it wasn’t enough to stop them entirely as Tennessee lost. Kiffin recently said that he thinks Alabama is better than Florida. So unless they can do a better job against Alabama’s offense, they are going to have a tough time by his own admission.

The Alabama Crimson Tide have one of the best running backs in the country in Mark Ingram. Coach Nick Saban recently gushed that he is one of the best running backs he has ever coached including Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown.

Ingram put up 246 yards last weekend in what was the third best performance in Crimson Tide history. If they can do that again this weekend, Kiffin and the Vols will be ecstatic.
