Recap

With National Siblings Day taking place this past Tuesday, it's only fitting that the Busch brothers will start at the front of the pack for Sunday's Food City 500.

NASCAR on Fox noted that this wasn't the first time the brothers will occupy both spots of the front row:

"Two Buschs on the front pole ain’t too bad," Kurt said, via Steve Reed of the Associated Press (h/t Washington Post).

Little bro Kyle managed to edge big bro Kurt—last week's pole winner—by 0.002 seconds with a time of 14.895 and a top speed of 128.822 MPH.

As a result, NASCAR's points leader will start in the top spot this weekend.

Winning the pole keeps Kyle's hot streak going. Although his brother started in first at last week's O’Reilly Auto Parts 500, it was the No. 18 car that wound up in the winner's circle.

Among those to congratulate Kyle was his son, Brexton:

Last year's pole winner Kyle Larson will start near the front of the field once again, posting the fifth-best qualifying time. He finished in sixth place in 2017.

Reigning Food City 500 champ Jimmie Johnson will have some work to do after qualifying at No. 14. Of course, after starting in 11th a year ago, he has proven he can work his way up at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The action at Bristol Motor Speedway will get going at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday.
