Joel Embiid Calls Himself 'The Phantom of the Process' in New Mask
Before, Joel Embiid was The Process.
But now that he's got some fancy new protective gear to assist in his recovery from a fractured orbital bone, the Philadelphia 76ers big man would like to be known as "The Phantom of the Process."
Embiid debuted his new persona on Twitter Wednesday night after the Sixers beat the Milwaukee Bucks 130-95 at Wells Fargo Center to capture their franchise-record 16th straight win:
Embiid remains without a timetable for return, and he told reporters Wednesday it's "unlikely" he will play in Game 1 of the Sixers' first-round series against the Miami Heat, according to The Athletic's Derek Bodner.
However, he stopped short of ruling himself out entirely and said there's "still a chance" he'll suit up for the club's first postseason tilt since 2012.
