Kyle NewportApr 11, 2018

Fighting fans in Chicago just got one more reason to be excited for June 9.

According to Phil Thompson of the Chicago Tribune, Holly Holm has been added to the UFC 225 card. She will reportedly step into the Octagon against Megan Anderson at the United Center in just less than two months.

The UFC has not confirmed the fight.

The 36-year-old Holm is 11-4 in her career, most notably handing Ronda Rousey her first loss at UFC 193. However, it has not led to a reign over the UFC since then. Holm has lost four of her last five bouts, including her last one against Cris Cyborg at UFC 219.

Despite losing, the former women's bantamweight champion gave Cyborg (20-1) all she could handle, with the fight being decided with a unanimous decision.

Anderson, on the other hand, is 8-2 in her UFC career. She has won four in a row and lost just once in nine fights since 2014. She let fans know on Wednesday that she was putting in the work:

Now, it appears she is preparing for Holm.

The UFC 225 card in Chicago already features Robert Whittaker-Yoel Romero, Rafael dos Anjos-Colby Covington, Claudia Gadelha-Carla Esparza and more.
