Former NFL Safety Marlon McCree Charged with Assault, Aggravated Battery
Former NFL safety Marlon McCree was arrested in Jacksonville, Florida, on charges of simple assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, the Florida Times-Union's Joe Daraskevich reported Monday.
According to Daraskevich, McCree is alleged to have followed his ex-wife, Jahzi, and her mother, by car across Jacksonville, ramming Jahzi's vehicle while it was parked in multiple locations, before eventually forcing them to take refuge in a bar while trying to contact to police. Jahzi previously filed a restraining order against him and reported allegations of domestic violence against McCree to police earlier in the week.
In the court injunction, Jahzi alleged McCree had pushed her into a wall and threatened her following an argument the two had regarding a trip to Georgia she was taking with their three children.

Action News Jax reported Jahzi thinks McCree was able to follow her and her mother using OnStar navigational data from her vehicle.
Authorities subsequently arrested McCree at his home, and he told police he wasn't behind the wheel of the car following his ex-wife and that he lent the car to a friend earlier in the day.
