PSG Transfer News: Thomas Meunier Reignites Summer Exit Rumours
Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier has again spoken about his lack of playing time and said he could leave the club during the summer, name-dropping Everton, Borussia Dortmund and Valencia as potential destinations.
The Belgium international spoke to RTBF (h/t RMC, via Sport Witness) and was candid about his frustrations:
"I do not ask too much for now, what I want is to play football. If I have to go down a notch to be able to be on the pitch, I'll do it. We will see how it goes, I have two more years in Paris, my goal is to stay in. I like it a lot, just like my family. The club did not contact me, it's hard to predict.

"I could aim at a club like Everton, Valencia or Dortmund. Michy Batshuayi did really well going there, the fun is playing football, and that's the only thing I miss right now."

The 26-year-old has expressed his frustrations with the club on multiple occasions this season, per Metro's Sean Kearns. He also told Sky Sports (h/t Metro) that Les Parisiens turned down an approach from Chelsea last summer.
Meunier was a shock acquisition for the club in 2016, when he was a relatively unknown and unheralded player for Belgian side Club Brugge. While many doubted whether he had the necessary quality to make the grade at PSG, he impressed in his debut season and made plenty of appearances.
The Ligue 1 giants added former Barcelona and Juventus star Dani Alves during the summer of 2017, however, and the Brazilian took a big chunk out of his playing time.
Alves was brought in for his experience in the UEFA Champions League, and he was the team's main starter in that competition.

Meunier still started 13 Ligue 1 contests and more than played his part in those matches. He's always had a knack for scoring and has chipped in four goals in the domestic campaign, including this beauty against Bordeaux:
He's played his best football for the national team, where he gets to slide up the pitch a bit more.
Meunier's frustrations are understandable. He has done whatever PSG have asked of him and done it well, and he has repeatedly addressed his issues with playing time, to no avail.
At the age of 26, he's in his prime footballing years, and he needs to be starting. The 34-year-old Alves has frequently showed his age this season but still gets to start the important matches, and that can't sit well with Meunier.
If he pushes for a transfer this summer, there's little doubt there will be a long queue for his services. Chelsea wanted him last year, and he's been linked with Manchester United as well, per Kearns.
