Enes Kanter Posts Sign Recruiting LeBron James to the Knicks on Instagram

Scott PolacekApr 8, 2018

New York Knicks big man Enes Kanter has made a number of LeBron James-related headlines this season, but he appeared to do some recruiting when he posted a picture on his Instagram page of the billboard that was attempting to convince the Cleveland Cavaliers star to head to the Big Apple:

The billboard is in reference to when James called himself the "[King] of New York" in a November Instagram post:

That it was Kanter who posted the picture is notable, considering the back-and-forths he has engaged James in this season.

He turned heads when he trolled James and the Cavaliers for allowing 148 points in a January loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder:

Things also got chippy between James and Kanter in a November meeting:

"I don't care who you are," Kanter said of James in November, per Al Iannazzone of Newsday. "What do you call yourself? King, Queen, Princess. Whatever you are. We're going to fight. Nobody out there is going to punk us."

James responded, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com, "I'm the king, my wife is the queen and my daughter is the princess, so we got all three covered."

Regardless of the potential bad blood between James and Kanter, adding the four-time MVP next season would be an ideal place for the Knicks to start in their efforts to end a five-season streak of no playoff appearances.
