Donald Trump Congratulates Patrick Reed on Twitter for Winning 2018 Masters

An American won the 2018 Masters on Sunday, and the president noticed.

Donald Trump congratulated Patrick Reed for his victory at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, with a complimentary tweet:

Reed finished the fourth round with a one-under 71 and ended the tournament 15 under par. He defeated Rickie Fowler by a single stroke and needed a par on the last hole after Fowler notched a birdie on the 18th.

Jordan Spieth also added drama when he came storming back from nine strokes behind to tie Reed atop the leaderboard before the victor tallied a critical birdie on No. 14 to retake the lead for good.

He won his first career major and received a tweet from the president as a result.
