Cam Newton Uninjured After Car Accident Involving Dump Truck
Carolina Panthers star Cam Newton was involved in a car accident Thursday, when his Ferrari collided with a dump truck in Atlanta, TMZ Sports reported Friday.
According to TMZ, Newton didn't appear to suffer any injuries, and neither he nor the dump truck driver wanted to file a police report.
Newton was hospitalized briefly following a car accident in December 2014 that caused two fractures in his back. The injuries forced him to miss the Panthers' Week 15 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that season, though he returned for the team's final two regular-season games and made two starts in the playoffs.

The fact Newton walked away unscathed Thursday is obviously good news for Carolina, especially with the team's first offseason workout in a little over a week.
The Panthers announced Tuesday their offseason workout program will begin April 17, and their first organized team activities will start May 23.
