Manchester United Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alex Sandro Interest
Juventus would reportedly be willing to cash in on star left-back Alex Sandro this summer for the right price, with Manchester United said to be among the clubs tracking the Brazilian.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport (h/t Tom Coast of Sport Witness), Juventus value him at a figure in excess of €60 million (£52 million).
Gazzetta reported that United and Paris Saint-Germain are the two sides with the strongest interest in the Brazil international. Per Coast, Chelsea were said to have serious interest in the player in the summer, although they moved to sign Roma wing-back Emerson Palmieri in January.

If Sandro was to go for the aforementioned amount, it would make him the second-most expensive defender in the history of the game behind Liverpool centre-back Virgil van Dijk, who cost £75 million.
In his time at Juventus, the left-back has done enough to warrant that type of price tag and has occasionally been a one-man left side for Juventus, whether deployed at full-back or wing-back.

Sandro is a multifaceted footballer. Defensively he does not shirk any duties, as he stays close to his centre-back without the ball and provides protection on the cover. Additionally, he has the energy and the physicality to recover position after venturing forward.
It's in the final third where the 27-year-old does his best work, so much so that at times this season Juve manager Massimiliano Allegri has used Sandro as a left midfielder.
Per COPA 90 US, he's made some big contributions from that position, too:
Sandro has served up a reminder in recent weeks of what he is capable of at his best and why some clubs would potentially be tempted to pay that amount to secure him.
United have had some issues at left-back this season. While Ashley Young has done well at times in the role, the Red Devils would benefit from an upgrade and someone who can provide natural width.

Aside from Young, Luke Shaw is United's most natural option in the position, although he doesn't appear to have to the trust of Mourinho at this moment in time.
As relayed by Bleacher Report's Dean Jones, the 22-year-old has been linked with a summer departure from Old Trafford:
There are a number of United fans who would like to see Shaw given more of a chance by Mourinho given the thrust and attacking threat he can offer at his best. If Sandro was to arrive in a big-money move, that would cast major doubts over his long-term future.
The Juventus man is the type of player Mourinho has chased throughout his career, as he's already established at the highest level and in his peak years. Sandro may be a costly purchase, yet he has shown the technical and physical qualities to be a huge success in the Premier League.
