Ravens Rumors: Eric Decker Visiting with Team After Robert Griffin III Signing

Mike ChiariApr 5, 2018

Veteran wide receiver Eric Decker will visit the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Decker's visit comes one day after the Ravens inked quarterback Robert Griffin III to a one-year deal.

The 31-year-old Decker spent 2017 with the Tennessee Titans on the heels of a three-year stint with the New York Jets. Last season, he finished with 54 receptions for 563 yards and one touchdown.

While his numbers were nothing special, they represented a bounce back since he was limited to just three games in 2016 due to injury. Decker's last big year came in 2015 when he racked up 80 catches for 1,027 yards and 12 touchdowns.

The 2010 third-round pick out of Minnesota started his career with the Denver Broncos, and he twice topped 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns in a season with Peyton Manning as his quarterback.

Baltimore has already undergone some major changes in its receiving corps, as Michael Crabtree and John Brown have replaced Mike Wallace and Jeremy Maclin.

Since 2015 first-round pick Breshad Perriman has yet to prove himself, however, Baltimore could use additional depth. If the Ravens sign Decker, he will give quarterback Joe Flacco another capable target.
