25-0 UFC Contender Khabib Nurmagomedov Still Lives at Home with His Parents
There is a trite line used about living with your parents to make one feel a failure. Well, don't use that line against UFC title contender Khabib Nurmagomedov.
The No. 1-ranked lightweight contender, along with his wife and two children, still lives with his parents. And it's all about tradition.
In an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour, Nurmagomedov revealed that the living arrangement is just a part of Dagestani culture. "For me, it's normal," Nurmagomedov said. "We have to do this."
The undefeated fighter stated that his relationship with his parents is "most important." Nurmagomedov said it is "more important than UFC belt, my career and money."
The strong family connection should have their Dagestani household on the edge of their seat as he goes for ultimate glory at UFC 223 on Saturday in Las Vegas. Three generations could be celebrating the coronation of a new champion in just a matter of days.
