A.J. Green Comments on Odell Beckham Jr. Trade Rumors: 'That's Stupid'
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green said it would be "stupid" for the New York Giants to trade Odell Beckham Jr.
"That's stupid. That's stupid, man," Green told NFL Network at Quavo's celebrity flag football game on Sunday. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime or once-in-a-generation talent, man, and you've got to be ready. I think he'll get paid. They not that crazy."
Speculation about a potential Beckham trade has ramped up in recent weeks due to the impasse he and the Giants have had in contract negotiations. Beckham is set to become a free agent following the 2018 season, though he is eligible for the franchise tag.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the Giants are seeking two first-round picks in exchange for Beckham. However, the team is not actively shopping him.
Giants general manager Dave Gettleman told NFL Network's Kimberly Jones "you don't quit on talent" when asked about Beckham's status.
"Bottom line is, as Ernie [Accorsi] taught us, you don't quit on talent," Gettleman said. "... He's on our team."
Beckham, 25, had at least 90 receptions, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons. Since he entered the NFL in 2014, Beckham has averaged the third-most receiving yards per game.
Injuries forced him to miss 12 games in 2017, and he set career lows with 25 receptions for 302 yards and three scores.
The Giants are also losing their patience with Beckham's antics, which have included multiple sideline outbursts and fights on the field.
