Devonta Freeman: 'Sky's the Limit' for Johnny Manziel If He Signs with Patriots

Scott PolacekApr 1, 2018

Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman believes Johnny Manziel would thrive on the New England Patriots.

"The sky's the limit," Freeman said when TMZ Sports asked about Manziel's potential fit in New England. Freeman also pointed to Bill Belichick and his staff, suggesting "they know how to make guys play."

This isn't the first time Manziel and the Patriots have been connected, as the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner said he would sign with them "in a heartbeat" in March 2018, per TMZ Sports.

According to Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald, the Patriots attended Texas A&M's pro day and spoke with Manziel before and after his workout.

Manziel was a first-round pick of the Cleveland Browns in 2014, but he hasn't played a regular-season NFL game since 2015.
