Report: LaMarcus Aldridge Day-to-Day with Knee Injury After MRI

Mike ChiariMar 29, 2018

After undergoing an MRI on his knee Wednesday, San Antonio Spurs All-Star LaMarcus Aldridge is day-to-day.

According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, no structural damage was found in Aldridge's knee.

Nick Talbot of MySanAntonio.com reported Wednesday that Aldridge is questionable for Thursday's game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Aldridge exited Tuesday's 116-106 loss to the Washington Wizards with a bruised left knee after colliding with Wizards forward Otto Porter Jr.

After struggling in his first two seasons with the Spurs, Aldridge has hit his stride this season with averages of 23.1 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.2 blocks per game.

With Kawhi Leonard missing all but nine games, Aldridge has been San Antonio's go-to guy throughout the campaign.

The Spurs are on a two-game losing streak, though, and they are currently sixth in the Western Conference at 43-32.

San Antonio holds only a two-game lead over the ninth-place Los Angeles Clippers.

If Aldridge is unable to play Thursday and beyond, Pau Gasol and Joffrey Lauvergne will likely log most of the frontcourt minutes for the Spurs.
