Roma Chief Monchi Makes Alisson Assurances Amid Real Madrid Rumours
Roma sporting director Monchi has made assurances that star goalkeeper Alisson will remain at the club past the summer, although he did admit the Brazilian is unlikely to stay forever.
So impressive have the 25-year-old's performances been in 2017-18 that Alisson has been linked with interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, but Monchi said he will still be at the Stadio Olimpico next term, per CalcioNews24 (via Football Italia):
"I can't say Alisson will stay at Roma for 30 years. If I think of a shorter future, I'd say 'yes.' He'll stay with us next season because we don't need to sell him.

"We haven't sold anyone yet and we haven't received any offers, although we'll listen to them if they arrive because that's what a sporting director does."
Alisson joined Roma from Brazilian outfit Internacional in July 2016 but spent his opening campaign with the Giallorossi as understudy to Wojciech Szczesny.
However, the Polish goalkeeper joined Juventus last summer, and Alisson was promoted to No. 1 for the start of the current campaign.
He has been impressive in the role and has established himself as one of Europe's best goalkeepers.
The fact that Alisson is keeping Manchester City's Ederson from taking the No. 1 shirt in the Brazil national team is an indication of just how impressive he has been this term, per WhoScored.com:
As is the fact that Roma have reportedly placed a €60 million price tag on him in order to ward off suitors like Real, per Corriere dello Sport (via Jaime Candil of AS).
Roma are enjoying a fine season. They sit comfortably in Serie A's top four and face Barcelona in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie next Wednesday.
However, they are not one of Europe's footballing powerhouses and, as a result, are likely to lose Alisson eventually to a club, like Real, that consistently competes for the biggest prizes.
