Jose Mourinho's men have won their last four top-flight games in a row but face a Swansea team who have improved under manager Carlos Carvalhal.

Manchester United should have midfielder Ander Herrera available again after injury, but Scott McTominay and Sergio Romero are doubts after picking up injuries on international duty, per the club's official website.

Ashley Young is expected to be fit despite suffering a sore knee playing for England against Italy, but Phil Jones and Daley Blind remain sidelined, per Samuel Luckhurst at the Manchester Evening News.

Manager Jose Mourinho also needs to decide whether to return Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba to the starting lineup having left the pair out of the Red Devils' FA Cup win over Brighton & Hove Albion last time out.

Swansea will be without several key players as Angel Rangel, Renato Sanches, Wilfried Bony and Leroy Fer are all injured, per Transfermarkt.

Jordan Ayew is suspended as he is serving a three-match ban picked up for a red card in the goalless draw against Huddersfield Town.

SWANSEA, WALES - AUGUST 19: Tom Carroll of Swansea City watches the ball as he is marked by Paul Pogba of Manchester United during the Premier League match between Swansea City and Manchester United at The Liberty Stadium on August 19, 2017 in Swansea, Wa

Manchester United will be hoping to maintain their grip on second place against a Swansea team they beat 4-0 in the Premier League back in August 2017 and 2-0 in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in October.

Mourinho's men have also picked up some impressive wins in the Premier League recently, coming from 2-0 down to win at Crystal Palace as well as beating Liverpool and Chelsea.

Much focus will be on Pogba particularly after he scored and assisted during France's win over Russia on Wednesday.

Scott Patterson at ESPN FC said Pogba needs to prove to Mourinho he can build the team around him:

Sanchez's form has also been a concern as the Chilean has just one goal in 10 appearances since his arrival from Arsenal in January.

Goal showed how his form does not appear to have improved while on international duty:

Striker Romelu Lukaku is in top form, however, and scored twice for Belgium in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia. Football writer Liam Canning showed just how good he has been in 2018:

Meanwhile, Carvalhal has overseen some impressive results at Swansea since replacing Paul Clement in December.

The Swans have beaten Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League, and another victory would go a long way to ensuring their safety. Match of the Day highlighted their improvement in form:

The hosts will be favourites for victory on Saturday, but Swansea have shown they are good enough to take points off top sides and could make the Red Devils pay for any sluggishness after the international break.
