Trevone Boykin's Girlfriend Says QB Assaulted Her, Left Her Bloody on Floor

Timothy RappMar 27, 2018

Shabrika Bailey, the girlfriend of Trevone Boykin, accused the former Seattle Seahawks quarterback of assaulting her, choking her and breaking her jaw after an argument between the couple.

The Seahawks reportedly cut Boykin on Tuesday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, following the report of domestic violence.

"So he goes into a choke. I remember him choking me and I'm trying to calm him down. And I just couldn't," she told Kevin Reece of WFAA.com. "And I blacked out. I just couldn't calm him down at all.

"The pressure was just hard. The pressure got hard to where I just remember just collapsing completely. And I just woke up in a puddle of blood on the kitchen floor. My whole right side was full of blood on the kitchen floor."

"And I've never seen that much blood," she added. "I thought I was bleeding from somewhere else cause it was so much blood, completely."

Boykin denied the allegations in a statement, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:

Per Reece's report, Bailey said Boykin then dragged her into a bathtub, helped clean off the blood and took her to the Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite several hours later. But when the hospital staff began asking questions about Bailey's injures, Boykin reportedly fled.

Detectives later questioned Bailey and confirmed to WFAA.com that Boykin was being investigated.

Bailey also discussed when she was charged with intoxication assault, public intoxication and possession of marijuana. Last March, she backed into the wall of a Dallas nightclub and injured several pedestrians, and she said that was caused by Boykin attacking her.

"He leaned over, attacked me and choked me unconscious, which made the car go into drive to reverse," she said, adding that she didn't say that to police at the time out of fear and because Boykin asked her to cover for him, which she said he did again after the latest assault.

"His first suggestion was to say that I fell. Then he suggested that I got beat up by a girl, or jumped. Then he suggested that I fell again," she said. "He's saying basically since we've already been in a case we don't need nothing else. And of course his football career is on the line. That's his main goal, just 'my football career is on the line.'"

Boykin, 24, served as the backup to Russell Wilson in the 2016 season before spending the 2017 campaign on Seattle's practice squad.
