Joel Embiid Welcomes Markelle Fultz Back to 76ers with Undertaker GIF on Twitter
The Philadelphia 76ers announced Monday that rookie Markelle Fultz would return to the court Monday night against the Denver Nuggets, and Joel Embiid was quick to respond to the news on Twitter:
Fultz, the top overall pick in the 2017 NBA draft, hasn't played since Oct. 23, as shoulder issues and a dramatic shift in his shooting motion kept him out of action. But Fultz is now injury free and has apparently regained his shooting motion to the point that he's ready to return.
"It was his decision," head coach Brett Brown said of Fultz's return, per Kyle Neubeck of Phillyvoice.com. "I get goosebumps telling you all that. I'm so proud of him, and the people around him have done great things. I give that kid credit, he will be with us tonight."
And the Sixers will be hoping Fultz pulls a Tombstone Piledriver on the Nuggets.
