Liverpool Transfer News: Mohamed Salah to Reject Real Madrid in Latest Rumours

Gill ClarkMar 24, 2018

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is reportedly ready to reject interest from Real Madrid and will be offered a new deal worth £200,000 per week to stay at Anfield.

The Egyptian has no interest in moving to La Liga and has told friends he wants to remain in the Premier League, according to John Richardson at the Sunday Mirror.

Salah has enjoyed a sensational first season at Anfield and is the Premier League's top goalscorer, with 28 goals. He also has nine assists to his name. His strikes have helped fire Liverpool into third place in the table and into the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

The 25-year-old was on target for his country on Friday to take his tally to 16 goals in his past 14 games, per Squawka Football:

Egypt coach Hector Cuper described the Liverpool forward as being one of the best players in the world, per Perform (h/t AS).

His dazzling performances and goalscoring exploits have perhaps unsurprisingly seen him linked with Real Madrid. Egyptian FA President Hany Abo Rida recently said "Real Madrid will make an offer for Salah during the summer," per Sam McEvoy for MailOnline.

Goal's Ben Hayward believes the winger would be ideal for Los Blancos:

Liverpool are assuming Real Madrid and Barcelona will show an interest and are ready to reject all bids, per Chris Bascombe at the Telegraph.

Meanwhile, Salah recently told ESPN Brasil he is happy at Liverpool and wants to win the Premier League with the club (h/t Chris Burton at Goal).

Writer Nooruddean Choudry explained why Real Madrid would want to bring him to the Santiago Bernabeu:

While Liverpool must be thrilled with Salah's impact, they must also be wary of approaches from other top sides. Handing Salah a new deal would deservedly reward him for an outstanding campaign and also help ward off interest from unwanted admirers.
