Odell Beckham Jr.'s Lawyer Releases Statement on January Assault Allegations
A lawyer representing New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. released a statement calling a lawsuit filed against the three-time Pro Bowler "frivolous" and a "shakedown attempt."
"This filing is full of falsehoods and misformation, and Mr. Beckham's legal team is fully prepared to vigorously defend against these outlandish and unsubstantiated claims," Beckham's agent, Daniel Davillier said. "Mr. Beckham denies any business or other relationship with the plaintiff, and further denies any wrongdoing whatsoever."

TMZ Sports reported Friday that Beckham was the subject of a $15 million lawsuit stemming from an alleged assault at his home in January.
Ishmael Temple alleged one of Beckham's bodyguards was involved in an attack on him and that while Beckham wasn't directly involved in the assault, he didn't intervene to stop it. Temple also claimed the bodyguard, Charles Puryear, pointed a gun at him when he went to shake Puryear's hand.
Temple suffered two chipped teeth, a busted lip and had his knee "messed up," according to TMZ Sports.
The lawsuit comes after a separate story in which Beckham was misidentified in a video of an altercation at the Gold Room in Atlanta. According to the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard, reports had claimed Beckham was involved in the fight, but his lawyer said the man identified as Beckham was "100 percent not Odell."
The lawyer added he and Beckham "intend to take legal action against anyone who perpetuates these false statements and claims."
