Hill added Hurns still has a visit with the Jets planned, but "there may be no trip to New York if the Cowboys can reel him in during their visit."
Hurns became a free agent after he was released by the Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday. The 26-year-old spent the first four years of his career with the Jaguars after going undrafted out of Miami in 2014.
The Cowboys have been scouring the market for receivers this offseason. ESPN.com's Todd Archer reported Justin Hunter and Dontrelle Inman will be visiting the team this week.
Hurns' best season came in 2015 when he had 1,031 yards and 10 touchdowns on 64 receptions in 15 games. He's been limited to 21 games over the past two seasons due to injuries.
