The Detroit Lions could be on the verge of adding depth with free-agent defensive tackle Ricky Jean Francois.
Per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Lions are "working on a deal" to sign the 31-year-old.
New Lions head coach Matt Patricia knows Jean Francois well from their time with the New England Patriots last season.

Jean Francois appeared in nine games for the Patriots, including their run to Super Bowl LII, after the Green Bay Packers released him in November. He's garnered 12 sacks with five teams in nine seasons.
Patricia has already added one former Patriots player to his team this offseason. Running back LeGarrette Blount, who played 49 games in New England from 2013 to 2016, signed with the Lions last week.
Detroit is in the market for interior defensive line depth. Haloti Ngata signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after spending three years in Detroit.
