The last time their teams met, Damian Lillard and Chris Paul exchanged words at the end of the game after the Houston Rockets star ran up the score with an uncontested layup in the final seconds of a 121-112 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers

Now we know what was said during that confrontation.

In a sit-down with ESPN, Lillard—who found himself on the other end of a similar situation as a rookie—revealed the details:

The layup capped off a 37-point night for Paul in the Jan. 10 victory.

On Tuesday, the two teams will meet for the first time since the incident. If C.J. McCollum's words are a sign of things to come, get ready for a physical game.
