Ryan Grant Reportedly Agrees to Colts Contract After Failing Ravens Physical
Free-agent wide receiver Ryan Grant has reportedly agreed to a contract with the Indianapolis Colts, less than a week after he failed a physical with the Baltimore Ravens.
NFL Network analyst James Jones reported the news. Grant had previously visited the Oakland Raiders in addition to Indianapolis.
The Ravens agreed to a four-year, $29 million contract with Grant last week but voided the deal after saying he failed his physical. Grant suffered an ankle injury in Washington's final regular-season game, per ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The timing of Grant's failed physical proved interesting because it came immediately after the Oakland Raiders released Michael Crabtree. Baltimore agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract with Crabtree, essentially the same per-year structure the team gave Grant.
Of course, all physical exams with teams are subjective to the thoughts of team doctors. The Miami Dolphins famously failed Drew Brees' throwing shoulder during the 2006 offseason, leading to his signing with the New Orleans Saints. There are a number of similar stories that have happened in recent years, though in many cases they look like buyer's remorse.
Grant spent his first four NFL seasons in Washington and had the best year of his career in 2017. He recorded 45 receptions for 573 yards and four touchdowns.
The Colts will likely slot him in as the replacement for Donte Moncrief, who signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars earlier this offseason.
