Raw Divas Indire For a Change

It seems as if I may never stop complaining. Before the diva trade, I talked about the lack of faces and Raw. The heels outnumbered them. After the trade, I am now complaining about the faces outnumbering the heels. Only now, it is a lot more severe. Melina, Gail Kim, Kelly Kelly, Eve, and Brie & Nikki Bella are the faces. Until Maryse returns, Jillian and Alicia are the heels. Even after Maryse returns, there are two faces for every heel. Something has got to give here. Without exploring possible releases, who can turn heel on Raw?

Melina? The new Diva’s Champion? Her move to Raw was meant to take Mickie’s role as top face there. So why would they turn her heel so suddenly? That would leave Gail Kim as top face, which I am sure many would like, but it does not seem likely. Melina as a heel would also make it harder to also push Maryse at the same time. I am sure she will be getting a title feud upon her return. Melina does not seem likely to turn, nor should she right now. Gail Kim? She is the only other face who has been Women’s Champion before on Raw. That is a bit of credibility. She also has the experience. She can serve as Melina’s credible sidekick. Then again, she can also serve the same role for Jillian, and Maryse after her return, should she turn heel. Of course, they can let the momentum they gave Jillian totally go to waste, still turn Gail heel, and have her become the top heel, at least until Maryse returns. Again, I do not think this seems likely.

Eve? Why not? She has been showing signs of improvement. They will not have to overpush her, but just turn her heel to balance out the numbers. Let her show a different character from the generic face the fans have seen. She had a feud with Layla on Smackdown. After turning heel, why not start a small feud with Kelly Kelly to help push her heel status? She would not have to take the spot of either Jillian or Maryse. When she does improve further, she can still be pushed as a heel. I feel it can be a good choice, but would the WWE do it? Plus she's my favorite diva now.

Kelly Kelly? Her signs of improvement have slowed down a bit. Does that mean she still cannot turn to help the few heels gain number? I think it does. Since every heel will probably need to be used, you do not want to put too much pressure on Kelly Kelly. As one of six faces, it would be easier to just use her in backstage segments or lightly in matches. There are many others who could fill her role in tag matches or similar needs. Also, I do not know how well she can handle a heel style. She is used to doing mainly fancy flips. What happens when she has to slow it down? She will have to rely on looks alone to stay over. Also, I just cannot see her as a heel. I can see Eve as a heel, but just not smiling Kelly Kelly.

The Bellas? Both of them? If both do turn, you automatically even things out, until Maryse returns anyway. I have trouble picturing them as effective heels as well, but that does not mean they cannot both turn. Their role on Raw seems just to be models. In a way, the WWE stacked a whole lot of models with this trade onto Raw. The guest hosts will never be lonely, will they? That does not mean the Bellas still cannot turn heel, but the WWE may not be thinking that. If you split them up, turning one heel once again, you make it harder for them to play their model role together. Also, it would still be hard to push either one well unless the other is involved somehow. Together, they have a twin gimmick. Split up and given separate angles, they are just another two individual beautiful women. The WWE has a lot of those. Splitting them does not seem wise, and although turning both is still an option, I have my doubts.
