FIFA 18 Ultimate Team: Antoine Griezmann, Leroy Sane Headline TOTW 25
FIFA 18's Team of the Week 25 boasts a superlative 91-rated card for Antoine Griezmann, while Leroy Sane will receive an 86-rated card in the latest round of Ultimate Team upgrades.
Griezmann netted all of the goals in Atletico Madrid's 4-0 win over Leganes in La Liga, while Sane scored one and created another as Manchester City dispatched Arsenal 3-0 in the Premier League.
His team-mate Ederson also features after he saved a penalty in that match, as well as keeping another clean sheet against Chelsea on Sunday, while Burnley's Matt Lowton and Swansea City's Ki Sung-Yueng offer further Premier League representation.
A strong performance from Thomas Muller in Bayern Munich's 4-0 win over Freiburg sees him fly the flag for the Bundesliga.
Here is the lineup, courtesy of EA Sports' official Twitter account:
TOTW 25 cards will be available in packs for one week from 6 p.m. GMT (1 p.m. ET) on Wednesday.
Antoine Griezmann, Atletico Madrid
After bagging a hat-trick against Sevilla in the match before, Griezmann was in similarly stellar form against Leganes.
He coolly finished one-on-one after being slipped through by Koke, before picking out the top corner with a free-kick having earlier rattled the upright from a similar position.
The Frenchman then converted Filipe Luis' cross and Diego Costa's ball with a towering header and a scuffed volley, respectively, and he also had a goal disallowed.
His efforts made Marca's cover:
Football writer David Cartlidge sang his praises, too:
With his new card, Griezmann's dribbling has improved to a sublime 91, while his pace and shooting continue to inch closer to the promised land of 90, having arrived at 89 apiece.
Leroy Sane, Manchester City
Sane ran Arsenal ragged last week as City beat the Gunners 3-0 just days after winning by the same scoreline in the Carabao Cup final.
The German was electric throughout the match, though his impact was most keenly felt in the first half.
He set up Bernardo Silva's opener after beating four defenders, and he was on hand to finish a lovely team move for City's third, per OptaJoe:
Sky Sports Statto shared his numbers from the contest:
Sane's in-form isn't quite as good as his 87-rated player-of-the-month card, but with 95 pace, 88 dribbling and 83 shooting, there's still plenty he can contribute from the left wing.
Thomas Muller, Bayern Munich
Having already featured in TOTW 19, Muller has picked up his second in-form of the season, and he has received an 89 rating for his troubles.
He played a key role in Bayern opening the scoring against Freiburg in true Muller style, per BT Sport Football:
Corentin Tolisso crashed home Bayern's second before Muller set up Sandro Wagner for their third, and he got on the scoresheet himself before the end, per ESPN's Mark Lovell:
His pace has now been upgraded to 81, which, while by no means outstanding, at least papers over his one glaring weakness.
Perhaps the most notable change is his positional switch to the right wing, so players looking for a Bundesliga star to provide goals from that flank need look no further.
