Timo Werner Admits Manchester United Admiration Amid Transfer Rumours
RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner has said he would love to play in the Premier League in the future and has named his preferred club as Manchester United.
The Germany international has excelled in recent seasons, taking the Bundesliga by storm with his exceptional forward play. Naturally, speculation about a possible move to one of Europe's elite clubs has followed.
Speaking to FourFourTwo, Werner has said he wants to play in England one day and he'd be especially tempted by a move to Old Trafford:

"Manchester United and Liverpool were the teams I watched quite a lot in England. They were the two that I'm a little bit a fan of, because they have so much history. When Alex Ferguson was the coach, United won everything and were outstanding.
"In Liverpool it's also their stadium and the atmosphere. But when I have to decide, I'm more Manchester United than Liverpool. I'm now at a point where at some stage in the future I'd like to play in a team that wins titles."
Werner joined Leipzig from Stuttgart in 2016 and has quickly cemented his place as the side's starting striker. At this point, he's one of the most dangerous attacking players in the Bundesliga.
Courtesy of OptaFranz, the 22-year-old has accrued a massive amount of experience already despite his tender years:
Since their promotion to the top flight, Leipzig have impressed with a high-energy, counter-attacking brand of football. It's a blueprint that's perfectly suited to the qualities Werner has.
The Germany international is dangerous within this setup, seeking to get in behind defences and using intelligent movement and blistering pace to unlock opposition sides. When there's space to burst into, the striker can be devastating.

What makes Werner special is his ability to make good decisions at the end of his blistering surges. His passing is smart, while his finishing is deadly.
Per Scouted Football, he's been leading the goalscoring charge for Leipzig:
Given his talent and his age, interest in the striker is inevitable. According to Jose Felix Diaz of Marca, Werner has already caught the eye of Real Madrid.
The striker is likely to get an opportunity to show how good he is on a global stage at the summer FIFA World Cup in Russia. Despite Germany's recent success, it's been a while since they have been able to call upon a striker as good as Werner.
Should Werner shine at the tournament, then Leipzig will find him a tough man to keep hold of. However, given United already have Romelu Lukaku, Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford on their books, it would be a surprise if they decided to make a move for the Leipzig star in the upcoming window.
