MMA Rookie Leaves Opponent Lifeless with Brutal Knockout Punch

Saturday night's UFC on Fox 28 was chock-full of big finishes, but the scariest stoppage didn't take place in the Octagon (though the UFC's Alan Jouban came close). No, the weekend's best knockout happened on the other end of the country at KOP 60 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, as debuting amateur fighter Raymond Davis wiped out Kurt Sutherland. Check out the video above.

After overcommitting on a lunging right hand, Sutherland tries to circle out of a clinch attempt by Davis. With his hands low, however, he leaves himself open for a devastating right hook that lands flush to the chin and seems to simply shut him off.

Now 1-0, it will be interesting to see what happens with Davis. If he keeps posting stoppages like that, expect him to land in a major promotion in the near future.
