Dennis Smith Jr. Throws Down Reverse-360, Between-the-Legs Slam in Dunk Contest

Ryan McCrystalFeb 17, 2018

Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr. came up short in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest on Saturday night, getting knocked out in the first round. But before making his exit, he brought the fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles to their feet with a perfect 50.

On his second dunk, Smith Jr. threw down a between-the-legs, reverse-360 slam—arguably the night's best effort.

Fellow rookie Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz defeated Cleveland Cavaliers forward Larry Nance Jr. in the finals.
