The NBA's Three-Point Contest got off to a rough start Saturday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, with the contestants laying bricks throughout the first round. Not a single shooter reached the 20-point plateau in the opening frame.
In the championship round, however, Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker caught fire, setting a contest record with 28 points en route to knocking off Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors and Tobias Harris of the Los Angeles Clippers.
Booker's final-round score broke the previous record of 27, held by both Thompson (2016) and his Warriors teammate Steph Curry (2015).
