Donovan Mitchell Tosses His Own Alley-Oop off Backboard, Finishes 1-Handed Jam

Early in the first quarter of the 2018 Rising Stars Challenge on Friday at Staples Center, Donovan Mitchell, who's playing for the U.S. Team, gave a Slam Dunk Contest preview on a breakaway in the open court.

The Utah Jazz guard tossed the ball off the backboard, testing his leaping ability and his reach before throwing down a one-handed jam.

It looks like he's flashing his dunking skills early for those who may be questioning his qualifications after he replaced Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon in Saturday's competition.
