Mauro Icardi Reportedly Turned Down Manchester United, Mino Raiola Offer
Mauro Icardi reportedly turned down an offer from Manchester United brought to him by agent Mino Raiola.
According to Italian outlet Corriere dello Sport (h/t Metro), Raiola—who does not represent Icardi—approached him with an offer from the Red Devils, but the Argentina international did not want the agent to act on his behalf.
Icardi's representative is his wife, Wanda Nara, and the offer on the table would have seen Raiola take over her responsibilities.

Raiola has facilitated the moves of several players to Old Trafford in recent years, including those of Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.
United brought in Romelu Lukaku to lead the line last summer, but Icardi is among the most clinical goalscorers in Europe.
The 24-year-old has 18 goals in 22 Serie A matches this season, and he has scored 96 times for Inter Milan since he arrived in 2013—a tally that would likely be significantly higher if he had players of a similar calibre around him.
As Italian football expert James Horncastle noted, the striker has predatory instincts:
Eurosport's Siavoush Fallahi believes Icardi has undeservedly flown under the radar until recently:
Though he hasn't had the chance to prove himself at the top level because of Inter's decline in recent years—he's yet to taste UEFA Champions League football—Icardi looks to be well-equipped to handle the step up to a club such as United.
With a relatively affordable release clause of £80 million, he may well get the chance to test himself at one of Europe's elite sides in the near future, though increasing that clause through a new contract is said to be on Inter's agenda.
