Jaguars Indefinitely Ban 2 Fans Who Threw Debris at Seahawks' Quinton Jefferson

The Jacksonville Jaguars have "indefinitely banned" two fans who threw objects at Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Quinton Jefferson during a Dec. 10 game, according to Ryan O'Halloran of Jacksonville.com.

"It was concluded that four individuals threw objects onto the field," a report issued by the Jaguars, NFL Security, SMG, the Jacksonville's Sheriff’s Office and SAFE Management stated, per O'Halloran. "Based on available video evidence, we were able to positively identify two of these individuals. All four individuals had relocated to a seat near the field wall toward the end of the game."

The incident occurred after Jefferson was heading to the locker room following his ejection at the end of the game, a 30-24 loss. Several bottles were thrown in his direction, with one hitting him, and Jefferson attempted to climb into the stands while being restrained by security.

As he was being pulled away from the stands, he was showered with ice and liquid.

"Folks in the stands was throwing beer and throwing soda, whatever. I mean, I don't know what I'm supposed to do," Jefferson said after the game, per Brady Henderson of ESPN.com. "I'm a human just like anybody else. I'm a man just like the other man in the stands. I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me, throw a beer on me."

He continued: "Just because I'm playing football, I'm still a human being. I'm still a man. I'm out there playing a game, and at the end of the day, it's a game, and I'm a man. I'm not going to let somebody disrespect me like that."

His head coach, Pete Carroll, later addressed the incident.

"He feels terrible about it," Carroll said, per Henderson. "It's not the kind of kid he is. He just emotionally got overrun and he lost it. Fortunately, people restrained him and all that. It's a tremendous learning opportunity for him and any other young guys."
