Fischer told KTLA that Haas, 35, was a passenger in a Ferrari involved in the crash. Per Joel Beall of Golf Digest, the driver of the Ferrari died.

Golf.com later reported Haas "escaped serious injuries" and was released from the hospital. He has also withdrawn from the Genesis Open, where he was set to play this week.

The Los Angeles Fire Department's report confirmed that one person, age and gender unknown, died in the crash, while a 35-year-old male and 50-year-old female were "both in serious condition."

Meanwhile, Wilson was driving the other car in the two-car collision, a Toyota SUV, and "emerged without harm," per KTLA (via Beall).

World No. 67 Haas finished tied-26th in his last outing at the Phoenix Open at the beginning of February.
