Dwyane Wade Returns to Cheers in Miami, Swats Layup in Closing Seconds of Win
It didn't take Dwyane Wade long to settle into familiar territory at AmericanAirlines Arena.
With a little over five minutes remaining in the first quarter of the Miami Heat's game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday, Wade came off the bench to loud cheers. Several minutes later, he nailed a three-pointer, his only field goal of the night.
Despite a modest stat line, he chased down a critical block late in the fourth quarter en route to Miami's 91-85 victory.
Bucks guard Eric Bledsoe attempted to cut the Heat's lead to two points with approximately 30 seconds left in the contest, but Wade flashed his defensive prowess with a block on the layup.
The 36-year-old's night started and ended with smiles as the Heat improved to 30-26 on the 2017-18 season.
