DeAndre Hopkins Posts Photoshopped Image of Malcolm Butler in Texans Uniform

After being benched during Super Bowl LII, Malcolm Butler is already a wanted man around the NFL.

Houston Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins provided an image on his Instagram account enticing the New England Patriots cornerback to join his team:

Butler is set to be a free agent this offseason after spending the past four years with the Patriots, three as a full-time starter.

After playing nearly every snap during the regular season and in the first two playoff games, he didn't play at all defensively in the 41-33 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.

Head coach Bill Belichick explained after the game and then reiterated Monday that the decision came down to football reasons, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com.

Butler denied additional reports about a missed curfew or any other off-field matter in a Tuesday Twitter message.

Regardless of the reasoning, his benching in the biggest game of the year will likely play a factor in his free agency. However, while this year wasn't Butler's best, the former Pro Bowler will still be a highly pursued target on the open market and could land a big contract.

After the Texans finished 2017 last in points allowed (27.2 per game), adding an experienced talent such as Butler could go a long way toward improving in 2018.
