Eagles Parade 2018: Live Stream, TV Schedule and Weather Forecast

Tim DanielsFeb 7, 2018

Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles and the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles are set to celebrate the franchise's first championship since 1960 on Thursday when they hold a parade and rally in downtown Philadelphia following Sunday's victory over the New England Patriots.

The Eagles and Patriots battled back and forth in one of the most entertaining Super Bowls in the game's storied history until Foles hit Zach Ertz for the game-winning touchdown pass to put Philly ahead for good with just over two minutes left.

Now the team's fans will hope Thursday's events can at least come close to the same level of excitement.

Weather Forecast

The outlook is promising for Thursday's celebration, albeit a little chilly. The Weather Channel projects a high temperature in the mid-30s, but the expectation is for bright and sunny skies with a zero percent chance of precipitation in the City of Brotherly Love.

Event Preview

Anybody planning to attend the parade Thursday better be ready to contend with a massive crowd.

CBS Philly reported an estimated crowd of three million is expected to engulf the streets of Philadelphia for a chance to party with the Super Bowl champions.

WPVI Action News provided a closer look at the route:

The parade routine is already becoming old hat for Foles. The Eagles' backup quarterback, who took the reins of the offense after an injury to starter Carson Wentz and played some of the best football of his career during the playoff run, already took part in a parade at Walt Disney World.

ABC News passed along some footage from his time alongside Mickey Mouse at the Florida amusement park:

All told, Philadelphia is one of the most sports-crazed cities in the country, and opportunities like Thursday have been rare lately. The Phillies' World Series triumph in 2008 represented the city's only title since they won the Fall Classic in 1993.

So expect a major celebration for the second time in the past five days.
