Bulls Rumors: Hottest Trade Reports Surrounding Chicago
The Chicago Bulls made a key move in their rebuilding process when they traded Nikola Mirotic to the New Orleans Pelican last Thursday for Jameer Nelson, Tony Allen, Omer Asik and a first-round pick.
It seems likely that the Bulls have more moves to make.
One of those could include center Robin Lopez, who has the beef underneath to help a contending team come down with key rebounds and play effectively down low.
Longtime Bulls beat writer K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune reported that league sources indicate trade talks involving Lopez have "intensified." Lopez is averaging 12.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game while playing an average of 27.8 minutes per night.
Johnson added that league sources are saying point guard Jerian Grant could also be on the move because the Bulls have let others know that he is available. Grant is averaging 8.3 points and 4.8 assists per game, and he is playing 22.8 minutes per game while shooting 42.0 percent from the floor.
In addition, Allen appears to be a possible trade target for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Johnson reported that the Bulls and Oklahoma City have discussed Allen's expiring contract.
If they are able to make another trade, it would not be a shocker if Nelson is included because he has an expiring contract as well. However, Nelson's name has not come up in any substantiated trade rumors as of Tuesday night.
