Alshon Jeffery Goes Up and Gets First TD of Super Bowl LII

Steve SilvermanFeb 4, 2018

The Philadelphia Eagles are off and running in Super Bowl LII with two possessions and two scores.

After placekicker Jake Elliott connected on a field goal on the opening possession of the game, Eagles wideout Alshon Jeffery went deep and caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Nick Foles.

Former Patriot LeGarrette Blount rumbled 36 yards into New England territory, and that set up Jeffery for his leaping grab in the end zone.

The only negative for the Eagles is that Elliott's extra point attempt was wide right, which limited their lead to six points.
