Referee Shirts Listed as 'Patriot Team Apparel' in New Jersey Sports Store

Philadelphia Eagles fans can be fatalistic, as they look for some reason to understand why their team may be doomed from the outset.

Perhaps a Burlington, New Jersey, sporting goods store provided the latest example. In addition to selling a slew of Eagles jerseys, hats and gear, they had a display with "Patriot team apparel."

The supposed New England Patriots gear was referee shirts, indicating that the already-doomed Philadelphia fans thought the Eagles had to fight the officials as well as the Patriots.

The store employees may have the memory of an official congratulating Tom Brady at the end of the AFC title game victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the back of their minds.
