New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady took home his third career NFL MVP award on Saturday night, less than 24 hours before he'll play in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles.

At the age of 40, Brady is the award's oldest winner, surpassing fellow quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Rich Gannon, who each won at the age of 37.

On Sunday, Brady will try to win the Super Bowl and league MVP in the same year for the first time in his career. He also won the award in 2007 and 2010, but both postseasons concluded with a Patriots loss.
