Nuggets' Gary Harris Drains Buzzer-Beating Game-Winner vs. Thunder

Zac WassinkFeb 1, 2018

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Paul George scored 14 fourth-quarter points to help erase a 16-point deficit during Thursday's matchup against the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center, but Denver's Gary Harris had the contest's final shot.

With the Nuggets leading 124-121 in the closing seconds, George quieted many among the home crowd when he drained a three-pointer to tie it.

He left 1.4 seconds on the clock for Harris, though, and the 23-year-old broke free as OKC's Jerami Grant may have attempted to draw a charge inside the paint.

Russell Westbrook raced to the perimeter to cover for Grant, but Harris fired an attempt from beyond the arc before the horn sounded and hit nothing but net.

Harris nearly ran out of the gym celebrating his walk-off winner.

Credit the Thunder for rallying, but they were one defensive stop short in the thrilling 127-124 defeat.
