Super Bowl 52: Top Fantasy Players, Projections for Eagles vs. Patriots
Can I let you in on a little secret? NFL fantasy football is not over yet. Just because we're heading into Super Bowl LII doesn't mean there still aren't fantasy implications.
You might be wondering, "Well, didn't the fantasy season end in Week 16 or 17?" Technically you're right, but we have daily fantasy sports and playoff leagues to account for, and we'll check out a few guys here.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Prediction: Eagles (cover but lose); over 48
Top Fantasy Players
Of course Tom Brady will be up here.
The Eagles ranked seventh in defense-adjusted value over average against the pass in the regular season, and it will be tough to run the ball. But the Patriots utilize their running backs out of the backfield as an extension of the run game.
I'm projecting 28 points for the Patriots, with three of those touchdowns coming from Brady passes to a few different targets. Get Brady in whatever playoff fantasy format you have; this is another MVP-caliber game upcoming.
Projection: 23 points
Jay Ajayi
Keeping Brady off the field will be a key to victory for the Eagles.
How does one do that? Convert on third downs, yes, but also run the ball successfully. And hey, the Eagles have a pretty darn good runner in Jay Ajayi.
Ajayi will have solid fantasy totals based on volume. The game shouldn't get to a point where the Eagles are being blown out, so expect Ajayi to be relied on heavily against a Patriots run defense that ranked 30th in DVOA during the regular season.
Projection: 19 points
According to Jeremy Bergman of NFL Network, Rob Gronkowski has been officially cleared from the concussion protocol and will suit up at the Super Bowl. Well, duh. We knew he wasn't missing this game.
As much praise as the Eagles defense deservedly gets, it has had issues covering the tight end. During the regular season, the unit ranked 17th in DVOA against the position.
Not only that, but Gronk is no ordinary tight end, and he'll likely be Brady's go-to guy in the biggest game of the year. The Eagles have their work cut out for them, and they're going to allow Brady to connect with Gronk for at least one score.
Projection: 19 points
Dion Lewis
What a player Dion Lewis has been.
This postseason, Lewis is averaging 12 carries per game and eight receptions per game. That's just bonkers. If you're playing in PPR formats for the Super Bowl, Lewis is the guy you need to have.
Seeing 10 and eight targets in the past two games, respectively, it wouldn't be a stretch to predict something like that once again. Brady to Lewis out of the backfield for a receiving touchdown? Sounds fair to me.
Get him in your lineups, as he's going to explode. Could he also be the Super Bowl MVP?
Projection: 23 points
